In Bloom at Camp…

The days are warm, the evenings are crisp, and the lilac bush outside the lodge at Camp de Benneville Pines is just beginning to bloom.

Our common spiritual home in the mountains is being readied for summer, when nearly 1,500 campers of all ages — most from UU congregations across California, Arizona, and Nevada  — will head up the mountain. They’ll recreate, reconnect to nature and to each other, and rediscover what matters most in life.

A dear friend of camp recently talked about what de Benneville Pines means to her. “No matter the age, when people are at camp they get the opportunity to relate in a new way: to themselves and each other and the world. We forget we have that possibility down the hill. Camp opens you up to try new things, meet new people, appreciate different points of view. And all of these things give you the opportunity to grow. What a precious gift!”

We hope you and/or your kids get to experience camp this summer. Spread the word that there’s room in Elementary Camp, Summer Art Camp for Adults, Summer Adult/Choir Camp, and the Intergenerational Social Justice Leadership Summit!
